The Police arrested two undocumented Haitians who are accused of murdering two private security guards who served in a gas plant of Higuey, where they stole 78 thousand pesos. The arrested are

Lulu Noel, 30, and Renita Rodriguez (Shorty), 31, who reside in Mata Mosquito in Friusa, Bavaro, Higuey.

Both were charged with murder of private guards Tejada Santos Reyes, 45, Felix Marcelino Mendez, 37, the night of 19 April, when guarding Aferme gas plant in Higuey, in the Pit Friusa where unknown persons stole 78 thousand dollars that were in a safe.

Héctor Cuevas Gomez, manager of the gas plant, said the thieves smashed a door of the store with an iron sledge with out of metal.

Detainees were held him a sledgehammer, a motorcycle Platina 125, no documents, a dagger of twelve inches long.

The Haitian Renita Rodriguez denied having participated in the double murder and said the robbery was committed by Lulu Noel, accompanied by two other fellow countrymen and Joel nicknamed El Gordo, who are fugitives. (National)
